Frequently asked questions
I've been on the waiting list for years. Can anything be done?
Often, yes. Circumstances change, and many people are in a lower band than their situation now justifies. We'll review your application and help you request a banding reassessment where the evidence supports it.
The council says I made myself "intentionally homeless". Is that final?
Not necessarily — you normally have the right to request a review of that decision within 21 days. Contact us quickly and we'll help you put your side properly.
Can you get me a council house faster?
No one can honestly promise that — allocations follow each council's scheme. What we can do is make sure your application is complete, correctly banded and impossible to overlook.
